Her story

A doctor who has been the patient

Dr Divpreet Sacha is an experienced GP, and someone who understands the emotional, physical and mental toll of fertility and hormonal health first hand. She has navigated PCOS, endometriosis, miscarriage, IVF and later a natural pregnancy, so she knows how overwhelming and isolating those journeys can be.

She was young and seemingly healthy when she started trying for a family, and still met hurdles that left her lost and uncertain. Even with a medical background, the sheer complexity of it was overwhelming.

“Even with my medical background, I still found myself overwhelmed by the complexity of it all.”

That was the point she turned to integrative approaches, and it made the difference. The blend of scientific understanding, holistic care and emotional support was central to her IVF success and the natural pregnancy that followed months later. Life became hectic. She would not change a thing.

Her journey as a doctor

Nearly a decade has passed since she graduated from Leicester Medical School. Her career has covered a wide range of rotations: surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, general medicine and emergency medicine. General practice drew her because of the variety of conditions it covers, particularly in women's health, which has always been her focus.

She works as a GP at Neko Health, in preventative medicine, and uses her Diploma in Occupational Medicine to help people navigate work and health. The largest influence on both her clinical approach and her professional direction, though, has been her own experience of infertility.
